And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” – Revelation 14: 6-7

The Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith Jr. by the gift and power of God, published in 1830. It is this book that has sprung thousands of Mormon denominations, over 100 of which are still active today. The Lord inspired Joseph Smith to do a "re-translation" of the King James version of the Holy Bible. What the prophet did not realized was that the Lord was in fact giving him portions of the Brass Plates. In 2014, the Lord told the prophet David, the founder of the Fellowship, that he had been called to translate the Brass Plates. It was later revealed to him that this meant finishing the work started by the prophet Joseph Smith. The prophet also lost the book of Lehi from the Book of Mormon. The Lord told the prophet David that he would need to translate this as well. The brass plates and the Book of Mormon together form the Everlasting Gospel.

The Everlasting Gospel

The Everlasting Gospel is the second witness of Christ, coming to us from God's people that lived here, in the Americas. It consist of two parts; the Brass Plates of Laban, and the Book of Mormon. Like the Holy Bible, the Everlasting Gospel is not perfect and should not always be taken literally. Though Joseph Smith Jr. on at least one occasion declared the Book of Mormon to be the “most correct book,” no one ever declared it perfect. We are encouraged to read these books prayerfully that the Spirit may speak to us through them, just as we would the Holy Bible.

The Brass Plates

The Brass Plates is a recording of many of the oral traditions and writings includes in the Old Testament, or Tanakh. It also contains lost books not to be found in the record of the Jews. It is missing some of the later writings found in the modern Old testament, and a few books older books traditionally included. This is because it was taken out of Israel around 600 BC, before the books in the current Bible were compiled. The Fellowship is currently in the process of translating (divining) this sacred record.

The Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon is a collection of writings that were abbreviated or abridged by Mormon and then by his son, Moroni. These records tell us of a people that left the Old World around the time of a great tower, and their destruction. And, of Israelites that left Jerusalem around 600 years before Jesus Christ was born.
